As a writer, editor, and communications strategist with over 25 years experience in the news business and public affairs communications, I offer my clients a broad array of services from communications strategy to writing and editing. I am adept at media strategy, having worked as a senior writer at The Sacramento Bee and other newspapers. I’ve worked for over a decade in public affairs communications as a former chief editor at the California Department of Water Resources and former senior communications specialist at the Association of California Water Agencies. I’ve also consulted for various state agencies.
I hold a BA in English and a teaching credential from UC Berkeley. In June 2021, I completed an MFA in creative writing through the Stonecoast Writers Program at the University of Southern Maine. I have taught high school English abroad and in the United States.
My services include freelance writing and editing, as well as college admissions essay consulting. I write speeches, talking points, blogs, op-eds, public service announcements, social media content, fact sheets, and more.
